My name is Kevin Predon. I am a forester working for the County of Bruce. I am also part of group of forest practitioners that organizes an annual woodlot conference for local landowners. I recently came across your periodical Grey County: The Death and Rebirth of a Forest, and was hoping that you would be able to come Grey/Bruce and speak about your research. There are usually 120+ people at the conference, and it’s the 25th anniversary, so we are hoping to put together a great list of speakers. The conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 25th, in Elmwood, ON (which is just a little north of Hanover), and we would be asking you to talk for about 45 minutes with a little bit of time for questions. This event was a great success. The highlight was a question from the floor, which brought out how the experience of disastrous tree stripping on the Niagara Escarpment, helped to prevent such catastrophes on the Rocky Mountains.
